Breast Reduction

Excessive breast volume is a serious problem, especially for adolescents, and it often lasts a lifetime. The need for correction is not only aesthetic, since the strain it places on the back can affect the spine. The psychological impact is also very important. This operation basically consists of reducing the volume of the breast and restoring its normal contour.

How do I do it?

Age: growth is complete.
It is performed under general anesthesia.

Operating Time

Approximately 3 hours.
The aim is to leave the smallest possible scar, maintaining irrigation and sensitivity of the areola and nipple. The scars from the essential incisions are always hidden around the areola and in the lower part of the breast. The scars persist to a greater or lesser degree depending on each patient.

Postoperative:

- There is no pain, just some discomfort.
- Bandage for 2 days, then light bra.
- Stitches: they are removed without discomfort after 2 weeks.

Results of examples applied to the described technique

- Complete modeling of the breast, in size and shape.
- It does not prevent further clinical examinations.
- In case of a subsequent pregnancy, I may not breastfeed.
