Breast Reduction

Breast reduction, or reduction mammoplasty, is a surgery indicated for women with excessive breast volume, which can cause physical and emotional discomfort, especially in adolescents and adults.
This excess weight in the breasts often causes back, neck, and shoulder pain, in addition to affecting posture and limiting physical activity. It can also cause insecurity or psychological discomfort.
The surgery consists of reducing the size of the breasts while reshaping their shape and restoring the natural contour of the bust, achieving a more harmonious and comfortable appearance for the patient.

How do I do it?

Age: growth is complete.
It is performed under general anesthesia.

Operating Time

Approximately 3 hours.
The aim is to leave the smallest possible scar, maintaining irrigation and sensitivity of the areola and nipple. The scars from the essential incisions are always hidden around the areola and in the lower part of the breast. The scars persist to a greater or lesser degree depending on each patient.

Postoperative:

- There is no pain, just some discomfort.
- Bandage for 2 days, then light bra.
- Stitches: they are removed without discomfort after 2 weeks.

Results of examples applied to the described technique

- Complete modeling of the breast, in size and shape.
- It does not prevent further clinical examinations.
- In case of a subsequent pregnancy, I may not breastfeed.
