Upper Eyelid Surgery

The eyelids are the area of the face where signs of aging are earliest and most evident.
The eyes are key to our appearance. When the eyelids begin to show signs of aging (by accumulating fat and excess skin) the physical appearance changes. As we age, the skin of the eyelids stretches, the muscles weaken and so more fat accumulates around the eyes.

Wrinkling and sagging of the skin, the presence of “fatty bags” and excess skin, especially on the upper eyelid, are some of the changes caused by aging. These aesthetic defects are hereditary in most cases. That is why we operate on them when they appear, from adolescence to adulthood.

It can be considered as an individual operation or associated, commonly with a facelift, in those patients who also have facial sagging.
